Florida Style: Outdoor living
One thing we found very inspiring about Florida was how life was brought to the outdoors. Since Austria isn’t really known for its warm weather, this concept has always been something that we wished we could incorporate more into our own lives, but never really did because our summers are just so short. However, we did come across a couple of ideas that we thought we could emulate without spending too much energy and/or money.
This idea on a smaller scale lends itself to bring some of those much needed summery feelings to the indoors in the form of a table centerpiece:

Painting some focal pieces of furniture in a bright colour (instead of our trusted and save white) will really make them pop and brighten our spirits on a grey and rainy day:

Restoring and repainting an old rocking chair has been on our to-do list for a while now, and after seeing this picture of pure bliss our motivation to do so is higher than ever:

Furniture sets similar to these have been popping up around our neck of the woods recently, and we love them, but have been too cheap to buy one. After seeing them in action, we might have to reconsider:

Finally, I had to include the following piece of perfection, something that would make absolutely no sense in this climate (and that we could never afford), but just look at that pool (is that an infinity edge?), those loungers with the crisp white covers and those perfectly manicured plants:

… a girl can dream, no?

Nice photos. Those straight backed and leg chairs you have in the second picture are old traditional dining chairs in the South and often used as outdoor living furniture on front porches as well. I don’t know about how easy they are to find in Florida, bu they are everywhere in most other Southern states. They are are very easy to make.
Great story and photos!
