DIY picture frames
For a while now we have been obsessed with birch trees. We love their elegance and the pretty white bark. On a recent trip to New York we had seen lots of vases covered in birch bark, which inspired us to start our own diy project: birch picture frames.
For the birch bark we went to a nearby forest and found this:

We cut off the bark with a sharp knife and went to work. All together this is everything we used: A cheap frame from IKEA, the dried birch bark, glue and scissors.

We cut up the birch bark into smaller pieces, which we then glued to the wooden frame. This is what we ended up with:

Doesn’t get any easier (and cheaper) than that!

I have been searching for something exactly like these but I am not “crafty”. I need 10 for the tables at my wedding. I wish I could buy them from you Christina… sigh.
