Meet our 80ies toilet!
Readers, we wanna introduce you to one of our rooms that you haven’t seen before, our rocking 1980ies toilet:

Don’t you just love the dirty- looking brown tiles in combination with the wooden toilet and the brass fixtures? Classy.

And to add to the claustrophobic feeling of this tiny space, there was a very dark wooden ceiling in there before we started our diy mission. Here it is partly taken down already:

We were actually really pleased with the simple white ceiling that we uncovered since we were fully prepared for more undescribable hideousness.
In order to transform this space, here’s what we have planned:
- remove the rest of the wooden ceiling
- tear out the tiles
- plaster the walls
- paint the walls, the window and the old heater
- install a new floor
We’re back!

Lovely office
I love everything about this little nook: from the stunnign colour palette to the birdies on the wallpaper to the simple drum lampshade. What a great space to work at!
DIY inspiration
We constantly stumble upon ridiculously cool diy ideas that for some reason we don’t make ourselves. We do want to share them with you, though! One project I absolutely adore ist this starburst mirror:
It is such a classic that could cost you quite a lot if you buy it. This diy version, however, achieves a great effect without the added cost. The tutorial can be found here.
If you have some awesome diy inspiration or finished some cool diy projects yourself, do share!
Pinboard redo
For our office, which we’re currently working on, we have recently spruced up a standard magnet/cork board combination. Here’s the cheap office helper (only $ 4 at our grocery store!) before:

It was useful but just too boring. To make it a bit more interesting, we got out some leftover paint from this project. We made sure to tape the cork and magnet surfaces off securely and got started on the wooden frame. Since the frame was so thin we used a small pencil here.

We made sure to let it dry completely before removing the tape again:

Here’s the spruced up board waiting to be hung:

I love that shade of blue!
How do you make your office fun?
Luxury chalet inspiration
We’re back from our Christmas break and ready to ring in the new year with lots of diy projects!
Meanwhile, here’s some wintery chalet inspiration to suit all the snow that we’ve had the last couple of days:

Merry Christmas!
Wishing you a happy Christmas! May you all be able to enjoy time with those you love. We will be back in a couple of days.
